Treatments for Amelia & Tess
This Gofundme Page has been updated to provide everyone with the current status of the family.
It is with sadness that we advise, after receiving an ‘all clear’ in 1 set of scans late last year for both Amelia (‘Milli”) and Tess, Milli’s recent scans have revealed that she is no longer cancer free. The family are absolutely devastated with this news and are currently determining the best way forward with both medical and alternative treatments both overseas and interstate. The last 18-24 months have been unimaginable in terms of what horror they have faced one blow after the other. Not only has Milli and Tess’ mum Monica had to farewell her brother late last year, but she has also had to undergo a bi-lateral mastectomy and hysterectomy. The Li-Fraumeni syndrome is relentless when it seems one battle is easing another begins!
As family and friends, we thank all who have given their support throughout this journey to date, but we are in desperate need to raise urgent funds for the new treatment that Milli now requires.
Please help us ease the burden that is being faced by this beautiful and loving family. Let us somehow provide them with some much-needed hope to keep fighting this dreadful disease and to get their gorgeous Milli well.
Milli adds so much joy to everyone’s lives, she’s faced this battle with a smile on her face each and every day. She gives 100% to life, she’s incredibly talented in everything she does and never shy’s away from trying new things. She really is a very brave and remarkable young girl and in turn, we are wanting life to reward her back.
Help us make a difference, the treatment whether overseas or interstate is an enormous financial amount and we are calling on family, friends and our extended friends who we may not have met in person, but who also hold a place in our hearts with their willingness to help.
Please donate in any way that you can, big or small, your generosity is appreciated & we thank you for your continued support x

This Gofundme Page is for two beautiful sisters Amelia (“Milli”) Lucas (9 y/o) & Tess Lucas, Milli’s older sister (12 y/o).
Milli is 9 years old, she loves to sing, dance, play basketball, footy and tennis and enjoys hanging out with her many friends. She has the most expressive eyes and the biggest of all smiles. Her beauty and enthusiasm for life is infectious. She’s a smart cookie and she enjoys spending time with family & friends, swimming in her pool, skiing, camping & being outdoors.
Sadly, Milli was recently diagnosed with a very aggressive brain tumour, a Grade IV Glioblastoma. Milli has had to undergo two surgeries at PMH, the first on 5 February 2016 followed by her second surgery on 12 February 2016. Milli is currently undergoing intensive radiotherapy & chemotherapy and will require ongoing treatment.
Tess is 12 years old, her passion is dance and she has been dancing since she was 2 years of age. Tess is a real entertainer and to watch her dance, will take your breath away. She too loves being outdoors and enjoys swimming, skiing, motorbike riding & camping with her family.
Tess has also been diagnosed with a brain tumour on 2 March 2016 and underwent lengthy surgery on 5 March 2016. Tess’ results are currently being clarified by Germany Pathology to confirm if her brain tumour is a Grade III Choroid Plexus or Meningioma. Upon results being received, Tess will also undergo intensive radiotherapy & chemotherapy.
Milli & Tess are the third and fourth immediate family children to be diagnosed with brain tumours and the family have tested positive to Li-Fraumeni syndrome.
It is the family’s wish to take Milli and Tess on a family holiday as soon as Milli is well enough and money raised on this site will assist in this wish being realised and help the family with ongoing future medical expenses.
If you are able to dig deep – or donate even just something small, every cent will go a long way towards supporting the family during this very tragic and difficult time.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for all your support!
